Almost every Abby Ostritch strip has this issue with her being so much taller than the other characters. It was supposed to look like he is slightly farther away, but it’s hard to convey depth on a notebook paper background! Thanks for the observation!
Oh I misunderstood! Well it should be read the other way around. It’s a comic lettering rule whatever text bubble is the highest in the frame should be read first whenever there’s doubt 🙂

I meant as far as dialogue goes. The character to the left said “thanks” before the actual compliment was given.
